Prawn curry/shrimp gravy-coconut milk

Hi everyone!!!

Welcome back again,many of my friends requested me to post more indian dishes,especially prawn recipes. So today we are gonna make delicious prawn curry with coconut milk.This is a very easy recipe & quickly we can make it with simple ingredients. Try this and leave your comments to me.

For marination (prawn 500gms):

  • Fish fry masala – 1 tbs
  • Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper powder -1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Corn flour – 1 tbs
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbs
  • Salt – to taste.

Take cleaned prawn in a bowl,add all the marination ingredient &mix well. Let it sit for 30 min.

Now heat oil in a pan,here im using coconut oil to enrich the taste. Add marinated prawns &fry well in the oil about 5 to 7 min & keep it aside.

Ingredient (gravy):

Onion – 1 cup

Tomato – 1/2 cupChilly – 2 nosGingergarlic paste – 1 tspChilli powder – 1 tspCoriander powder – 1/2 tspGaram masala – 1/2 tspTurmeric powder – 1/2 tspCoconut milk – 1 cupSalt – to taste.

  • In the same pan,heat 2 more teaspoon of coconut oil.add onion into it,cover with lid & steam cook for 5 min. After that add ginger garlic paste,tomato & chilly. Saute it for another 5 mins or so on a low heat till it turns mushy.
  • Now add all the masala powders mentioned above & cook until raw smell goes. Add fried prawns and give a mix. Finally add one cup of fresh cocont milk & cook for 5 to 8 mins. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • Delicious prawn curry is ready to serve😋.
  • Tip:
  • If you wanna enhance the taste & thicken your gravy add some cashew paste to it.

Meal ideas for toddlers and kids

Today im gonna share 2 meal recipes for toddlers and kids. Your toddler need a healthy balanced diet to provide them with all the vitamins,minerals&other,offer your toddler nutritious foods whenever you can.

Come on mommy’s lets get into the recipes….

1. Khichdi with Chicken & peas:

Peas is a good source of protein,vit A,vit K,vit C & good source of dietery fiber etc.


  • Ghee or oil – 2 tbs
  • Chicken kheema – 2 tbs
  • Soaked rice – 2 tbs
  • Peas – 1 tbs
  • Tomato – 1 tbs
  • Ginger garlic paste – according to the taste buds of your little one.

Heat oil or ghee in a pan saute ginger garlic paste & add chicken kheema into it mix well until chicken changes colour. Now add 1 cup of water,soaked rice,peas&tomato. Mix well and bring it to boil add some salt to taste. Cover & steam cook until desired consistency or 15 mins. Mash well & feed your kid.

2. Khichdi with lentil & carrot:

For growing kids lentil provide the much needed protein energy.


  • Oil or ghee – 2 tbs
  • Carrot (cut in cubes) – 1/2 cup
  • Soaked yellow lentil gram – 1 tbs
  • Soaked rice – 2 tbs

Heat oil or ghee in a pan add carrot ,soaked rice ,soaked lentil gram into it &give a mix add one cup of water into it mix well and bring it to boil.if you need add 1 or 2 garlic cloves,it helps in digestion. add salt to taste. Cover &steam cook for around 15 to 20 mins. Mash well (or) make it as puree & feed ur little muffin.

Mini pizza

Today we are going to make mini chicken tikka pizza.come lets get into the receipe….😊

Preparing dough:

  • Luke warm water- 3/4 cup
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Yeast(instant) – 1 tbsp
  • Maida/all purpose flour – 2 cups
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Olive oil – 2tbsp

Add sugar & yeast into a luke warm water cover&rest it for 10 to 15 mins to ferment.

After that add the yeast mixture into maida &mix well.gradually add 1/4 cup warm water & knead until dough is formed.

Finally add some olive oil &knead well and rest it for 1 to 2 hours or overnight in refrigerator. 

After 2 hours take the dough,grease your hand with oil and knead again until smooth dough is formed.

Chicken marination:

  • chicken boneless – 1&1/2 cups
  • yogurt    – 2 to 3 tbs
  • ginger garlic  –  1 tbs
  • lemon juice   –  1 tbs
  • chilli powder  – 1/2tsp
  • coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
  • garam masala  –  1/2 tsp
  • pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • salt  – 1/2 tsp or to ur taste.

Heat 2 tbs of oil in a pan & add marinated chicken and give a mix. Now close the lid &cook on low flame for 8 to 10 mins. Then open the lid and cook on high flame until it gets dry.


Take a pizza tawa and spread some flour into it & spread overall into the tawa then roll the dough using the rolling pin on it  now assemble with pizza sauce ,cooked chicken,onion,grated cheddar cheese,capsicum,mozzarella cheese & some olives at the top.

Bake in preheated oven at 180 degree celsius for 20 to 25 mins…….

Now your delicious yummy chicken tikka mini pizza is ready to tate😋😋😋😋😋.

Calzone with mince recipe

Calzone is an italian oven baked folded pizza,calzone are typically made from pizza dough that folded in half before cooking to contain a filling with meat,cheese &vegetables.

Come lets go into the receipe😀………

The recipe consist of three main steps firstly,we are going to make white sauce secondly,mince filling and finally preparing dough.

Ingredient to make white sauce:

  • Butter – 1 1/2tbsp
  • Garlic chopped – 1tbsp
  • Milk – 1/4 cup
  • Cream – 1/4 cup
  • Cheddar cheese – 1/4 cup

Heat a sauce pan & melt d butter after butter gets melted add chopped garlic into it mix it well &cook until desired consistency after that add milk,cream and cheddar cheese and keep it aside.

Mince filling:

  • Oil – 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Meat mince – 250gms
  • Salt. – 1/2 tbsp (or )to taste
  • Chilly powder- 1/2 tbsp
  • Black pepper – 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves – according to ur taste
  • Onion – 1 medium size
  • Mushrooms – 1/2 cups

Heat oil and add meat mince mix it well until the colour changes then add the masala powder and mix it for 2 mins after that add one medium size onion &cook for 5 mins& add mushrooms & cook for 2 to 3 mins finally, add the prepared white sauce into it and cook until dries up.

Finally add some olive oil and rest it for 1 to 2 hours.


Divide the dough into 4 to 5 equal parts & roll it using a rolling pin then assemble the half side with pizza sauce,cooked mince& mozzarella cheese and fold the other half and grease the top with some oil.

Bake in preheated oven at 200 degree celsius for 20 mins.

Your desired calzone mince is ready to eat😋😋😋……

Mainly the reason behind is boiling milk as soon as u take off the fridge. Let the milk settle in a open vessel at room temperature for 15minutes ,then boil it for ur choice

Semolina/sooji/rava kesari

Kesari is a sweet prepared with semolina. It is mainly prepared all over india

Lets see how to make quick &easy kesari receipe


Semolina – 1 cup

Ghee – 4 to 6 tbsp

Water -2 cups

Sugar – 1 cup

Colour powder -1/4 tsp

Cashew & rainsin – add according to ur taste.

  • Firstly add 2 tbspn of ghee in a pan. Once the ghee is melted add cashews,roast it untilgolden then add raisins & roast until ballooned
  • Now in the same pan add 1 more tbspn of ghee and roast the rava. Roast it on a medium heat to prevent burning
  • Roast for 7 to 8 minutes. Once the rava is roasted your whole house will be filled with the aroma of roasted rava
  • Trannsfer the roasted rava into a plate
  • In another pan heat water to boil. For one cup rava we will need 2 cups of water. If you wanna rich ur taste of kesari add 1 cup of milk instead of 1 cup of water
  • Gradually add the roasted rava and mix well. Once rava absorbs all the water lets add 1 cup of sugar little by little
  • Add food colour into it
  • Finally add 2tbspn of ghee to enhance the taste & flavour of the kesari
  • That’s it our yummy kesari is ready to taste garnish with cashew & raisins


  • Rava should be nicely roasted until golden to get nice aromatic kesari
  • If you dont have food colour at home dont worry add some saffron into hot water it turns into yellowish orange colour within 10 min.
