Easy lemon pepper chicken recipe/easy & quick starter.

The lemon chicken recipe is also called as pepper chicken dry.its an instant recipe, perfect for any party. and the best part is, it needs no marination time, you can cook it right away!

Ingredients:

For marination:

Chicken – 1 kg
Lemon juice – 1 tbs
Black pepper powder – 1 tbs
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbs
Yogurt – 1/2 cup
Salt – to taste

For cooking:

Oil/butter – 3 to 4 tbs
Bay leaves – 2 to 3
Black peppercorns – 8 to 10
Black pepper powder – 1 tbs
Garlic (sliced) – 2 to 3 cloves
Ginger(finely chopped) – 1 tbs
Green Chili – 4 nos
Lemon juice – 1 tbs.

For slurry:

Water – 2 tbs
Cornstarch -1/2 tbs

Instructions:

First, put all the washed chicken in a bowl, pour some lemon juice, add salt, ginger garlic paste, black pepper powder, curd & mix it well
Now heat a pan and add 3 tbs of oil or butter followed by bay leaves, black peppercorns, garlic, and ginger. saute it for about 40 to 60 seconds.
Now add marinated chicken and mix well & cook on high flame for 2-3 mins only till all the water evaporates or the colour changes a bit.
Add 3-4 green chilies, slit from the middle, carefully add a little bit of salt because we have added some in the marination process.add 1 tbs of black pepper powder & mix well
Now on a low flame, cover & steam cook for 15 to 20 mins. open the lid & turn up the flame to high, add 2 tbs of lemon juice mix well & let the sauce thicken for about 1-2 minutes.
To thicken the sauce, pour cornstarch water on the chicken & mix well. the sauce thickened in 30-40 seconds.
Perfect tender juicy chicken with the dominant flavor of lemon juice & black pepper is ready to taste.
